Update: Motley Crue released a statement after lead singer Vince Neils private jet collided with another plane.
The pilot was tragically killed; the co-pilot and other passengers were taken to local hospitals.
Vince was not on the plane.
Vinces girlfriend and her friend suffered injuries, albeit not life-threatening, the statement added.
The private jet is owned byVince Neil, the lead singer ofMotley Crue.
The Scottsdale Fire Capt.
Dave Folio said the incident occurred due to a faulty landing gear.
Meanwhile, two others were rushed to trauma centers.
Officials said one person was trapped inside the plane for an extended period of time after the crash.
The private plane was registered to Chromedowned by the musicianin Hollywood, based out of Franklin.
The situation is rapidly evolving, and the incident is being investigated, Robinson said.
