Theres nothing like the bond between two bestfriends.
Well, if theyrereallybest friends, that is.
One teen recently shared avideoon TikTok detailing how he found out some world shattering news about his best friend.
After a decade of friendship, he discovered that his bestie was acting all along.
I was five at the time.
So like, I was just having so many issues.
I think I threw a plastic chair at the teacher.
I was not good.
And she was like, you gotta become a better man.
Mind you, Im only five years old, so whatever.
And then anyway, like three days later, Im at the playground.
I remember the pain to this day.
I mean, my knee was scraped and gashing, it was not good.
So I was just there screaming and wailing and it was not good by any means.
And all of a sudden I see this little blonde boy come marching over.
And Id never met this kid.
Im screaming, and wailing, and he mocks me.
I could have sworn she had the whole hospital with her in her purse.
She had the bandages, the creams.
She had one of those finger splint things, I dont know what theyre called.
And he showed me his castle made of sticks.
And I was surprised.
I mean, the architecture on this little thing that he was building was ridiculous.
So I dont know, that was pretty interesting.
And then we developed a more robust and strong friendship.
And then I felt very comfortable and started doing a lot better at school.
Okay, so take note of that.
Im like, this is ridiculous.
So I do that.
And I say, Okay, I have this thing.
And hes like, Well, actually, I dont think we can go.
And that he had to go to tennis camp.
He was throwing out anything he could and so I was like, whatever.
So I said okay, whatever.
The very next day, like 24 hours after, school happens, I go back home.
And he shows me an Instagram photo.
Dexter, his mom, and my aunt.
I said, What the [hell] is this?
I said, no, this is not right.
I automatically immediately call Dexter, my friend, what the [hell] is going on?
He said, Oh, no, there was a miscommunication.
Literally, directly quoting my dad.
And then I asked, I kept the phone and Im like, this is ridiculous.
I asked my dad, what is Aunt Jakka doing there?
And he just said, Okay, he threw it off.
Its just cheaper for her to go over there.
So then I call Aunt Jakka.
I said, what is that?
She says, Oh, sweetie, dont worry about it.
Im just buying a new house.
So anyway, fast forward to August of 2021.
My then-boyfriend was a pool boy for Dexters mother.
He was a pool boy for the mother of my still best friend.
And they were talking, but he was doing his job, the pool boy stuff.
And the door is open when Dexter and his mother are talking.
And that mom made sure the kid was my best friend.
I never met the mom.
The manager was a true and tried manager.
And I never met this kids mother.
And so I called up my aunt and I said, What is this?
And she confirmed everything.
I also need to add that my therapist was actually the sister of Dexters manager.
And that kind of just breaks my heart.
And then I call up Dexter and I say, Is this real?
And I feel like I never really went anywhere.
I mean, I never went to Paris, whatever.
And I thought I had a real friend.
But when you find out this friend was actually paid for you.
And apparently, that never happened.
So, Dexter, what the [hell] are you thinking?
And Aunt Jakka, I dont think Ill ever be able to forgive you.
I dont know who hires somebody to be your best friend even when youre struggling.
So like, Ive never really experienced a true friendship.
I dont know what to do now.
But I thought that itd be interesting to share.
So, 2012 to 2021.
I dont know, whatever.
What if they dont like me?
What if they already have enough friends?
So when you find a great friend, hold on tight and nurture that relationship!
So we dont justwantfriends; we need them!
But friends can also push us outside of our comfort zones and motivate us to try new things.
Show your friends that youre reliable and can be trusted, and make time for them whenever you might.
You may have a decades worth of photos of them and had countless new experiences together.
This can cause a person to start doubting themselves and lower their self-esteem.
But hiring an actor to hang out with your child is not the way to solve this situation.
It can ruin relationships and cause severe trust issues, as Lawson mentioned in his video.
